Congratulations on discovering running. Non-runners will never understand why we try to get out and run as often as we do. In my case, I get cranky if I don't run for a few days.
Good luck in 2008 and the races. You might want to look at a 10K just for giggles. You never know, you might like it. I don't think it would be a stretch for you if you are already running 4-5 days a week..
